Closing the hull

After closing the top of the hull with plates of 2mm of balsawood, I put a thin layer of filler prior to make the canopy.

Adding foam

After I lined the inside with thin fiberglass layer, I opted for the use of polyurethane foam. it is mild and help the floatability  in case of accidents. As well as helping to the firmness of the assembly

After the "pie" dry, I cut and sanded the excess, preparing the surface to the upper hull.

Inner lining

I coat the inside of the hull with a thin layer of fiberglass before it closes. This will eventually contribute to a better waterproofing and firmness of the hull

half hull finished

I finally finished the hull using 2mm thick balsa wood plates in order to keep the weight low assembly.

Home made twin NQD jet boat brushless

The first run of my little model made in balsa wood in the lake. I have corrected the problems with the engines heating and cavitation. As I said before this is a first stage. The next version will be improved some aspects of  the hull design and assembly.
